At the heart of everything I do is a desire to observe and reflect on the everyday human experience and the broader complexities of life—fascinated by how we navigate both the ordinary and the profound... (read more below)

ABOUT ME

My creative journey often begins behind the lens. Through photography, I explore untold moments — urban streets alive with quiet detail, vast landscapes evoking calm, and portraits that reveal unguarded humanity. My tag line for street and documentary photography — “A fragment in time, a captured second: photography preserves what life forgets.” — guides me in my observations.Just as I seek to observe and reflect through the lens, I approach software development with a focus on creating meaningful solutions that serve real people. Technology is more than just tools and frameworks — it's a way to connect, create, and solve problems that matter. I remain a firm believer in the core values of the agile manifesto — favouring close collaboration with end users, clear communication, and pragmatic solutions that prioritize value and adaptability. In my musical endeavors as songwriter and composer for Psy'Aviah, I strive to blend genres to explore themes of human emotion and connection. For instance, in "Voodoo Love," I attempt to convey the depth of empathy and the desire to share another's pain. Collaborating with Prof. Dr. Dirk De Wachter on "Becoming Human," I sought to delve into the essence of humanity and our quest for meaning in life and beyond. Through these compositions, I aim to craft works that resonate on a personal level, though I remain ever curious about their impact. This passion for observing and reflecting extends to my writing for the Kwintessens blog of "Het Humanistisch Verbond", where I reflect on topics like ethics in technology and human connection. In my writing, I aim to explore ideas and invite reflection—challenging my own perspectives in the process, much like I do through music.Whether through code, lyrics, or images, I seek moments of introspection—not only to share my reflections but to deepen my understanding and celebrate the creativity of others. I hope these shared spaces foster meaningful connections and invite others to share their perspectives and stories in return.
